Topical numbing options are available. Most treatments are well tolerated with minimal discomfort, though individuals may prefer to numb the lips prior to injection.

Neuromodulator results will start to set in within a few days, and peak results are at 2 weeks. Fillers are immediate and refine over the following week as swelling goes down and the product blends in with the skin.
