What I Treat
I work with patients to better understand and address the root causes of their health concerns through a comprehensive, individualized approach. Below are some of the key areas I commonly focus on in my practice.
A 15-minute phone call to discuss your health goals, ask questions, and see if we're the right fit.
Support for hormonal balance, perimenopause & menopause, PMS, PCOS, thyroid health, and overall wellness at every stage of life.
Address bloating, IBS, food sensitivities, SIBO, constipation, and gut-related issues through personalized protocols that target root causes rather than symptom management alone.
Uncover the root causes of burnout, chronic fatigue, adrenal dysregulation, and low energy using targeted labs, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based treatments.
Focused on supporting metabolism, hormonal balance, inflammation, and lifestyle factors that influence long-term weight regulation. The goal is a sustainable, individualized approach that supports how your body functions and feels.
Proactive health strategies tailored to your risk profile, including lab work, targeted supplements, nutritional support, and lifestyle optimization to help you stay ahead and feel your best long-term.
Appointments
Start with a comprehensive initial consultation, then continue with the follow-up length that best matches your needs at each visit.
My Approach
I take the time to understand the full picture of your health, and every care plan is individualized. I use evidence-based tools including functional lab testing, nutritional medicine, targeted supplements, medications when needed, and lifestyle counselling to support your body's natural ability to heal and thrive.
Details
Your first appointment is a full 60-minute session covering your complete health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. Labs and/or testing may be recommended to gain further insight into your current health picture. We'll build your initial care plan together before you leave.
Return visits range from 15 to 45 minutes depending on what needs to be addressed. Choose the length that realistically fits your needs, and if you're unsure your provider can help guide this.
Functional lab testing is often recommended to get a clearer picture of what's happening beneath the surface. This may include hormonal panels, thyroid function, nutrient levels, GI stool testing, and more.
Many extended health plans cover naturopathic visits. We offer direct billing to most insurance companies. It is recommended that you reach out to your insurance provider prior to your first visit to learn about your naturopathic coverage.
Existing patients can request a prescription refill for a fee of $30. This applies to active naturopathic prescriptions and does not require a follow-up appointment.
After you book your initial visit, please complete the patient intake forms that will be sent to you by email to help me best prepare for your visit. Please email in any recent lab results prior to your appointment. The more context you can share, the more we can accomplish together.
FAQ
Naturopathic medicine is a regulated health profession that combines evidence-based natural therapies with modern diagnostics, prescription medications when appropriate, and a strong focus on prevention. Care is centered on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness or imbalance through individualized treatment plans that may include nutrition, supplements, lifestyle support, diagnostic testing, and prescriptions when needed. The goal is to support the whole person and promote long-term, sustainable health.
Many extended health plans in BC cover naturopathic visits. We offer direct billing to most insurance companies. I recommend checking your plan before your appointment to see what coverage you have.
Your initial consultation is 60 minutes. We'll go through your complete health history, current concerns, diet, lifestyle, and goals. By the end of the appointment, you'll have an initial care plan with specific next steps.
This depends on what you're working on. Some people notice changes quickly within a few weeks. Others, particularly those dealing with hormonal or chronic digestive issues, may need a few months to see meaningful progress. We will assess and set realistic timelines at your initial visit.
Yes. Naturopathic medicine works best as a complement to your conventional medical care. I'm happy to communicate with your GP or specialist when appropriate and to review any recent lab work or investigations you've had done.
If you're unsure, the 30-minute follow-up is a good default for most check-ins. Book the 45-minute option if you have multiple concerns to cover or are due for a more comprehensive review. The 15- or 20-minute options work well for focused questions or lab result reviews.
No referral is needed to see a naturopathic doctor. You can book directly online at any time.
