What to Expect
Iron is delivered directly into the bloodstream through an IV, bypassing the digestive tract for full absorption. The infusion runs slowly over approximately 60-90 minutes while you are comfortably monitored. A consult and bloodwork review are required before your first infusion to confirm suitability and determine the appropriate iron dose and preparation.
